Hampshire, 91, of Holland, formerly of Ionia, passed away Monday, March 25, 2002 at Resthaven Care Center in Holland. Marion was born on Jan. 30, 1911 in Missaukee County, the daughter of Frank and Mabel Hendrick. Marion worked at the Ionia Manufacturing plant as an industrial seamstress during World War II. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ionia, and more recently, attended Trinity Reformed Church in Holland. Mrs. Hampshire is survived by her two daughters, Ardith Hampshire of Holland and Sandra Wright of Whitby, Ontario, Canada; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Terrance in 1990; and her husband, James in 1992. Funeral services for Mrs. Hampshire will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Cook Funeral Home, Rich Street Chapel. Rev. Mark Mast of Trinity Reformed Church in Holland will officiate. Visiting hours for Marion will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
