Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Feb. 10, 1987

IONIA- Arvilla R. Hampshire, 71, 1991 W. David Highway, Ionia, died Monday in a 
Grand Rapids hospital.

She was born Sept. 29, 1915 in Newberry.

She married Floyd Hampshire July 5, 1932 in Ionia and they lived in the Berlin 
Township area.

She was a retired sewing machine operator for Fischer Body in Grand Rapids, 
retiring in 1964.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd; one son Harold of Portland; two 
daughters, Janice Rose of Lansing and Joyce LeValley of Dorr, 12 grandchildren 
and 14 great grandchildren.

Two brothers, one half-brother, one half-sister and two grandchildren preceded 
her in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Hull Memorial Chapel in 
Muir, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.

Burial will be in the Balcom Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
