Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 14 May 1954

Meindert Hamersma, 73, lifelong resident of Muir died Thursday morning at the 
Eckert Nursing Home in Ionia.  He was born May 19, 1880, in the Netherlands.

Surviving is one brother, Ysbrand Hamersma of Inwood, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Shaw-
Rivett funeral home and burial will be at Muir cemetery.
