MARK HANACEK 1967-2017
Mark Steven Hanacek age 49 of Saranac, MI passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 
2017. He was born Nov. 23, 1967 in Saginaw, MI the son of Robert and Nancy 
(Zelenka) Hanacek.

Mark married Sheila Bouwman on March 26, 1994 at LaValley Methodist Church. He 
was a past Boy Scout of America, Loved hunting, wrenching on vehicles and 
building his drag truck.

Mark is survived by his parents, Roberta and Nancy Hanacek of Florida; wife, 
Sheila Hanacek of Saranac; sons, Ryan Hanacek of Alto, Steven Hanacek of 
Saranac; daughter, Mercedes Hanacek of Saranac; sisters, Christine (Douglas) 
Ward of Ionia, Andrea Hanacek of Maryland; grandson Kaine; and many nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral service for Mark will beheld on Wednesday, July 26, at 1 p.m. at the 
Lake Funeral Homein Ionia with Pastor Nancy Patera officiating. Visitation will 
be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to the Saranac Fire department. Online condolences may be made at
