Meriam E. Hancock, 83, of 244 Elizabeth Street, Lyons, died Monday.  She was
born May 28, 1909, in Lake Odessa, the daughter of Albert and Ella Swick
Hancock.  She moved with her family to Lyons in 1913 and attended Lyons High
School.  She retired in 1974 from Chrysler’s Lyons Trim Plant.  She was a member
of the Lyons Baptist Church and of Ionia Moose Lodge.

Surviving is a cousin, Howard Ward of Sheridan.  She was preceded in death by
her parents and a brother, Jess.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday from Hull Memorial Chapel, with the
Rev. Paul D. Carmichael of Lyons Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be in
Lyons Cemetery.  Visiting hours at the funeral chapel will begin at noon Tuesday.
