                                 HANES

Zenas "George" Hanes Jr.,age 78 of Muir, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 
2023. He was born on May 23, 1944, the son of Harold and Irene (Howe) Nicholson 
in Owosso, MI.

George loved to fish, watch westerns and picking up cans.

He is survived by his siblings, Julius Nicholson of Muir, Ronnie Nicholson of 
Hubbardston, Donald (Marie) Nicholson of Alaska, Bonnie Nicholson of South 
Haven, and Dianne (Jerry) Porubsky of Ionia.

George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cecil Nicholson, Scott 
Nicholson, Billy Hanes, and Kenny Hanes and sisters,Karen Cupps and Lucie Mae 
Nicholson.

A funeral services was held at 11 AM Thursday, January 19, at the Lake Funeral 
Home of Muir. Visitation was at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-3PM and 6-
