James L. Haney, 63, of Ionia, MI, completed his journey on earth October 1, 
2014.  James was born August 10, 1951 in Remus, MI.  He was the son of Kenneth 
and Rut Haney.  He graduated from Portland Public High School.  He worked for 
Caswells R.V. Sales in Ionia for 32 years.  He enjoyed deer hunting and 
activities with his family.

Preceding him in death were his father Kenneth James Haney, and his 
grandparents, Gladys and James Delong.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ruth (Haney) McQueen of Portland, and his 
stepfather, Dick McQueen; siblings Delbert (Gayla) Haney of MO, Steve (Tanya) 
Haney of Hastings, Kenneth (Brenda) Haney of Ionia, Richard (Terri) Haney of 
KS, Diana Haney of Portland, Teresa Scott of Coldwater, and Shari Small of Lake 
Odessa; many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  
He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.  

Funeral services were held at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia, MI.  interment 
will take place in Danby Cemetery.
