HANEY
Marvin Milo Haney aged 83 of Belding passed away August 25, 2020. he was born 
December 10, 1936 in Ionia the son of Herman and Violet (Jenks) Haney.

Marvin married Shelva Jean Patrick July 14, 1956 they had 5 children 
together. He later married Patricia Beech December 31, 1988, she preceded him 
in death in 2000.

He grew up and worked at the Haney Farm most of his life and also drove truck 
for Gallagher Farms and over the road for other companies.

Marvin had a love for music and started playing at the age of 12. He enjoyed 
playing cribbage, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting.

Surviving is the mother of their children, Shelva Jean Smith of Greenville; 
children, Brenda (Chris) Hill of Ionia, Marvin Michael Haney of Ionia, Herman 
Daniel (Jackie) Haney of Orleans, Timothy (Tracey) Haney of Ionia and Tricia 
(Samuel) Montero of Ionia; step-sons, Benjamin Beech of Rockford and Travis 
Beech of Greenville; 15 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 25 great-
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and longtime care giver John 
Brooks.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia; siblings, 
Beatrice Haney Hawkins, Melvin Haney and Loren Dale Haney and 1 step-
granddaughter Mariah Beech.

Cremation has taken place and there will be Graveside Services at 11:00 AM, 
Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Orleans Cemetery with Pastor Kenneth Harger 
officiating. A Luncheon will follow at the Banner Grange. Arrangements in 
care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
