The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Saturday, August 5, 1944
Funeral services for Edward E. Haney, 52, of 445 Jones Street were held Friday 
afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Boynton funeral home.  Rev. Dwight Kitch, 
pastor of First Methodist church, officiated and burial was in Lakeside 
cemetery.  Pall bearers were Laurence Kane, Herman Smith, Lynn Morris, Oswald 
Kosbar, J. H. Higbee and Jesse Root.

Attending services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lieke and Mr. and Mrs. 
Clair Trautwein of Flint; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Grams of Ludington; Mr. and Mrs. 
Roy Erb, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Haney and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Peterman, 
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Clemens, Mrs. Lottie Haney, Forest Haney, Mrs. Maudie 
Shellenbarger, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Archer, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shade and Mr. and 
Mrs. Earl Shade of Lake Odessa; Mr. and Mrs. Judd Curtis, Mrs. Lina Clemens 
and Mrs. Inez Beebe of Lansing.
