Belding Banner, 24 Mar 1915

Mrs. Louisa M. Hanks, aged seventy-three, wife of Orin Hanks died at her home 
about two miles southeast of Belding last Sunday, a victim of pneumonia.

Mrs. Hanks, whose maiden name was Louisa Landers, was born in York, Ohio, March 
16, 1842.  She was married to Orin Hanks August 16, 1879.  Besides the husband 
the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ernst Benton and Mrs. Sherman 
Hulbert, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the late home this Wednesday morning at ten 
o’clock in charge of Rev. W.E. Doty.  Burial was made in the Smyrna cemetery.

Mrs. Hanks lived a great many years in the vicinity of Belding, and was well 
known.
