Born December 4, 1872, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mickel Hanline of Wood County, Ohio, where he received his schooling. He was married to Mammie Walsh, who preceded him in death and October 16, 1909 he was married to Ellen Vogelsong in Wayne county, Ohio. They came to Mt. Pleasant, later moving to Ionia in 1922. An employee of Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company, he was later employed at Ionia Pottery and then with the City of Ionia until his retirement. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. John Shamp; three sons, Robert, George and Ira known as Bill Hanline all of Ionia; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with Rev. John Scott of First Christian church officiating. Interment will be in Balcom cemetery.
