Hannah, 40, of 315 North Dexter street, died early Saturday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital a few hours after he was admitted after suffering a heart attack at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Coe. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hannah of Ionia, he was born March 1, 1925. He attended Ionia schools and was active in athletics. For the past 20 years he was employed as agent operator for C&O railroad. Mr. Hannah was a member of First Christian church and at the time of his death, held the office of deacon. He was married in Lansing to Winona Hartman, who survives him. Others include five sons, Danon Hannah of Ionia, Donald and Timothy of Orleans, Robert Hartman of Orleans and Larry Hartman of Ionia; two daughters, Barbara Hannah of Ionia and Mrs. John Palmer of Norfolk, Va.; one grandson, Bruce Hartman; and a sister, Mrs. Alpha Hall of Ionia. The body will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home until Tuesday noon when it will be taken to First Christian church were funeral services will be at 2 p.m. The Rev. James Kendall will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery. A memorial for First Christian church has been established in his memory.
