The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, July 21, 1960

Plenie Hansbarger, 77, route 1, Woodland, passed away Saturday afternoon at 
Pennock hospital where he had been a patient since June 15th.  He was born in 
Odessa township, February 12, 1883, son of Jeremiah and Samantha Hansbarger 
and had lived at his present farm home for 27 years.

His first wife Marietta passed away in 1941 and 15 years ago he married his 
wife Emma, who survives.

Surviving besides his wife, are two sons, Lee of Nashville and Vivian of 
Charlotte; one daughter Mrs. Hazel Swift of Charlotte; a stepdaughter, Clara 
Holek of West Plain, Mo.; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  A son 
Lawrence passed away in 1935 and a daughter Lela Logan in 1956.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Pickens funeral home with burial 
in the Woodland memorial cemetery.  Rev. Robert Richardson officiated.
