Laura M. Hansen, 93, of Belding, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2002 at United
Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit, Greenville.  She was born July 5,
1909, in Sheridan, the daughter of Carl and Anna Christensen Olson.

Laura graduated from Sheridan High School in 1927 and the Butterworth School of
Nursing in 1930.  She retired from Extruded Metals in 1974 after working 18
years as a nurse.  She was also a member of the Danish Sisterhood of Greenville.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Mary Kreeger of
Greenville; a grandson; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren;
and a special friend, Bev Zahm of Belding.  Laura was preceded in death by her
first husband, Harold “Chum” Kreeger in 1940; her second husband, Raymond Hansen
in 1972; her sisters, Ella Reese and Cereta Kay; a brother, Alfred Olsen; and a
stepson, James Hansen.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at South Sidney Cemetery with Pastor
Jerry Jones of the First Congregational Church officiating.  Memorial
contributions may be made to the Danish Sisterhood or Faith Community Christian
School.  Envelopes are available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding,
which is serving the family.
