June 9, 1927: 1)"Former Keene Woman Dead at Lowell Home - (From a Sentinel-Standard Correspondent) Saranac, June 9, - Mrs. Lillian Abbott Hansen, 62, well-known resident of Lowell, died at her home there Wednesday evening. She had been ill for some time. Mrs. Hansen was born in Keene township and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Abbott. In her girlhood days she attended the Saranac schools. Since her marriage she has resided at Lowell. Mrs. Hansen is survived by her husband and one son, by a former marriage, Alvah Rogers, of Ionia, and a brother, Ike Abbott of Indianapolis, Ind. The funeral services will be held at the home in Lowell Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Lowell cemetery." 2) "OBITUARY - LILLIAN M. HANSON was born January 19, 1865, in Keene township, Ionia, Mich., and died at her home in Lowell June 8, 1927, after an illness of two weeks. December 24, 1899, she was united in marriage to Engle Hanson. The deceased will be greatly missed in the community for she was a faithful friend and neighbor, a genuine home-maker and a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Hanson was a member of the home department of the M. E. Sunday school and contributed to its support. Besides the bereaved husband she leaves to mourn their loss a son by a former husband, A. E. Rogers, of Ionia, two grandchildren, a brother, of Indianapolis, and a host of friends. CARD OF THANKS.
