He had been ill for two weeks. Mr. Hansen was born in Denmark coming to Greenville 65? years ago exactly to the date of his death. He settled in Gowan. A retired farmer and carpenter, he resided in Belding for fifteen years with his daughter, Mrs. Claude Stout, on North Bridge street. Hansen was a member of the Danish Lutheran church. On September 4, 1885, he married Hanna M. Andersen. She was a native of Denmark coming to this country on the same boat although they didn’t meet until after settling here. She died about 18 years ago. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Claude Stout of Belding and Mrs. Joe Mendels of Grand Rapids; two sons, Carl L. Hansen of Tacoma, Wash., and T.L. Hansen of Detroit; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a one sister in Denmark.
