Clarksville – Bert A. Hanson, 74, died Wednesday at his home, 222 West
Clarksville road, following a heart attack.  He operated a blacksmith and
machine shop for many years and was previously associated with his father in the
blacksmith business.

Mr. Hanson was born July 3, 1888, the son of Gilbert and Lillian Hanson.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; four sons, Gilbert of North Carolina, Francis
of Birmingham, Dale of Clarksville, and Bert, Jr., of Lowell; one daughter, Mrs.
Mildred Haight of Lansing; and two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Mason of Bear Lake, and
Mrs. Pearl Roth of Lake Odessa.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Clarksville Bible church and
burial at Clarksville cemetery.  John Beattie funeral home has charge of
arrangements.
