Ionia County News, 23 May 1940

Gilbert Butler Hanson, age 91, one of Clarksville’s oldest residents passed away
at his home in the south part of town Friday, May 17, at 5:30 p.m.  

Besides his wife, the former Lillie Ann Spore, he leaves one son, Bert Hanson,
of Clarksville, and three daughters, Mrs. G. Roth of Clarksville, Mrs. Ohler of
Jennison, and Mrs. Lillie Mason of Bear Lake.  He also leaves a sister.

Funeral rites were held Monday at the home and burial was at Georgetown
cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Clarksville Masonic order.
