She was born on February 18, 1905 in Borsice, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Antonio and Anna Bursik. Mrs. Hanulcik was a lifetime member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia. She married Andrew Hanulcik in 1924 and together they owned and operated a grocery/gas station in Ionia and later they bought a farm where they raised many types of fruits such as apples, pears, peaches, plums and strawberries and even sold them right at the farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Sr., in 1981 and a son, John in 1990. Surviving are a son, Andrew (Doris) Hanulcik Jr. of Ionia; grandchildren, Victoria (Tom) Willis, Kelly (Patrick) Powell, Sharon(Fred) Padgett, Andrew (Cindy) Hanulcik III, Anne (Martin) Mead, Catherine Hanulcik, Carol Hanulcik, and Alex (Kristen) Hanulcik; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; sister, Frances Jurica of Owosso. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Melvin Fox, Pastor at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will be Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends 9 a.m. until Mass time at the Church. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Ss. Peter and Paul School Fund in memory of Mrs. Hanulcik.
