Coroner Dale Kauffman ruled the death as caused from a heart attack. A resident of Belding for the past 27 years, Mr. Harden had been in the metal business here since 1939. A truck driver for 15 years until an illness, he later went into business. He was born on Aug. 8, 1909 to Catherine Shaw and Daniel Harden (both deceased) in Forest Park, Ill. On Dec. 2, 1938, he married Florence Kathryn McColdrick in Belding. They reside at 937 Alderman St. Besides the widow, Florence, he is survived by a son David and a daughter Judy, both at home; a brother Clarence of Elkhard, Ind.; one niece, Mrs. Margaret Tillman of South Haven. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Ellis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Gillett of the Baptist Church officiating. Temporary interment will be in the mausoleum at River Ridge cemetery with burial at River Ridge in the spring.
