Harder, 59, died at the Ionia County Memorial hospital Saturday evening, June 7, at 9:05 p.m. She had been a patient at the hospital since May 13 when she suffered a stroke on Main street. She was born June 18, 1888, in Gratiot, the daughter of Ben and Sarah Grubaugh. She had resided in Ionia for 25 years and was a member of the Evangelical church. Surviving her are six daughters, Mrs. Ora Basing of Onondaga, Mrs. Lester Wolfe of Lansing, Mrs. Alfred Grill of Racine, Wis., Mrs. John Patterson of Detroit, Mrs. Marshall Thorpe of Lake Odessa and Virginia at home; seven sons, Harrison of Orange, Cecil of Lansing, John of Milwaukee, Wis., Casper of Traverse City, Merle of Eaton Rapids, Harvey of Pewamo and Chris at home; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. Perry Allen of Shepherd and Mrs. Gus Young, Mrs. Leonard Stockwell and Mrs. John Drew of St. Johns; and one brother, George Grubaugh of Perrington. Funeral services will be held from Boynton’s funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with interment in Union Hill cemetery in Clinton county.
