HARDER IONIA-Harvey V. Harder, 62, of Ionia died Tuesday at Blodgett Memorial Hospital in East Grand Rapids. He was born the son of Albert F.and Pearl I (Grubough) Harder in Ionia on Aug.26, 1926. He attended Ionia Public Schools. He worked for General Motors Fischer Body in Lansing for years.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.He was a member of St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. He is survived by four brothers; Harrison of Portland,John of Milwaukee, Merle of Albion and Christian of Fenwick; six sisters Sara Basing of Dimondale, Gladys Persichielle of Okemos, Mrs John (Augusta) Ferguson Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Mrs.John (Ethel) Patterson of Almond Beach,Fla., Mrs. Marshall (Dorothy) Thorp of Portland and Mrs.Merle (Virginia) Goodemoot of Portland; and a large family. He was preceded in death by three brothers. The funeral Mass will be offered at noon Oct.1 at St.Peter & Paul's Catholic Church in Ionia. Interment will be in Mt.Olivet Cemetery. Visiting hours are 7- 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Cook funeral Home in Ionia. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Friday at the Rich Street Chapel.
