She was born in Paris, France Dec. 25, 1893. She moved with her family to Chicago and attended the Chicago schools. She married H.C. Mestemaker in 1909, and he died in 1951. She married Norman Harding in 1961, and he died that year. She came to Lyons to live in 1915 and left in 1981 to live with her granddaughter, Katherine Gilberg. She was a member of the Ionia VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a past worthy matron of the Lyons Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include four sons, Robert Mestemaker of Ionia, William Mestemaker of Ocala, Fla., David Mestemaker of Marshall, and Donald Mestemaker of Wacousta; one daughter, Ruth Hopkins, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Hull Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald VanHouten officiating. Burial will be in the Lyons Cemetery.
