He was born in Cedar Springs May 1, 1872 and had lived here since 1903. He had worked for Weter-Wise as a harness maker and for Belding Hall Refrigerator Co. He operated his own shoe repair shop on Main St. for 20 years. He retired at the age of 85. He was married to Gladys Johnson in Manistee in 1907. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1957 and she died in 1959. Mr. Harding was a life member of Cedar Springs Lodge F. & A.M. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Louise Harding of Ionia. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home with Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating and the burial was in River Ridge cemetery.
