Ionia Sentinel, 2006

George J. Hardy, age 81, of Lowell, formerly of Ionia, passed away Monday, 
February 6, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother Robert, one other brother and 
sister.  He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Barbara; children, Jeff 
(Pamela) Jantzen, Wanda Weber, Kim Hardy; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-
in-law; grandchildren, Morgan and Dillon Jantzen, Cherelle Weber, Casey (Kevin) 
Craig; several nieces and nephews.  George was a member of Moose Lodge 980 in 
Ionia for over 25 years.  He enjoyed bowling and golf.

A Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2006, at the Roth-
Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell.  Pastor Joe Fremer of Good Shepherd 
Lutheran Church officiating.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be 
one hour prior to service.  The family would like to express sincere gratitude 
to the staff at Laurels of Kent for their care and support.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to Laurels of Kent, 350 N. Center St., Lowell, MI  
49331.
