She was born Feb. 1, 1926, in Alma, the daughter of Clifford and Pauline (Nagel) Allen. She married Robert A. Hardy Nov. 28, 1953, in Saranac. Rose Ann served on the boards for Mental Health, Commission on Aging, Saranac Housing and Ionia County Community Mental Health Board of Directors, Ionia County Commission on Aging board in Grand Rapids of 16 counties. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert A. Hardy of Saranac; sons, Delbert Hardy and Kimberly of Ionia, Bob (Judy) Hardy of Saranac, David (Barb) Hardy of Saranac and Tom (Tammy) Hardy of Saranac; daughter-in-law, Peggy Patrick of Saranac; brother, Bill (Vernita) Allen of Alma; sister, Betty Jones of Saugatuck; grandchildren, Eric (Becky) Patrick of Saranac, Jason (Kate) Hardy of Saranac, Tara (Travis) Decker of Saranac, Aaron Hardy of Saranac, Andrea (Corey) Wojcik of Saranac, Sarah Hardy of Saranac, Robby Hardy of Saranac, Cliff Hardy of Middleville, Travis Hardy of Saranac, Steve Hardy of Middleville; great grandchildren, Brett, Blake, Ethan, Carson, Caiden, Mylie, Lexie, Isaac, Ivan and Avi; sister-in-law Cathaleen Hardy of Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Jim and Peg Hardy of Saranac, Judy Tower of Saranac, Barb and John Lonas of Tennessee, Brenda Allen of Saugatuck, Jane Ann Jones of Colorado and Patti Richmond of Alma. Rose Ann was preceded in death by her son, Mike Patrick, in 2004; brother, Jack Allen; grandson, Jeffery; and special friend, George Cooper. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Saranac Community Church, with Pastor Becky Poor officiating. Interment will be at Saranac Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
