She was born in Boston township, October 5, 1868, and taken to Canada in infancy. She returned to Keene township in 1884 and was united in marriage with George Hardy. They lived on a farm in Keene township until about 1922 when they bought a home and moved to Saranac where they have since resided. Mrs. Hardy was active in church, fraternity, and civic affairs as long as her health permitted. Last summer she was honored with a party and life membership by the Saranac chapter, O.E.S. Surviving are her husband, George Hardy, four sons, Delbert, Robert and Howard of Keene and David of Saranac; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be from her late home at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, October 1, and from Saranac Methodist church at 2:30. Rev. Frank Loomis will officiate and burial will be in Saranac cemetery.
