Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 May 1943

George E. Hardy, 80, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Saranac
Monday morning.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. with
interment in Saranac cemetery.  Rev. E.H. Humphrey will officiate.

Surviving are four sons, Adelbert, David, Howard and Robert; four grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren

Mr. Hardy was born in Canada and had resided in Saranac 24 years.  He was a
member of the Saranac F&AM and of the Ionia Knights Templar.
