Edward Lewis “Ed” Harger, 69, of Belding, died Tuesday, Dec.  8 at Spectrum
Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.  Ed was born Jan.  14, 1940 in
Sheridan, the son of Arthur and Ida Dreger Harger.  He really enjoyed working
for Ostrander Roofing and Siding in Belding for over 35 years.  Ed enjoyed
Nascar and snowmobiles but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Ed is survived by 4 children, Kathi Jo (Doug) Simkins of Belding, Jeff
(Michelle) Harger of Lowell, Tim (Angie) Harger of Greenville and Amber Harger
of Greenville; adopted son, Terry Curler of Belding; 7 grandchildren, Trista
Viehman, Josh Viehman, Jesse Viehman, Jason Viehman, Jake Harger, Taylor Harger
and Payton Harger; 5 great grandchildren, Jamison, Tyler, Halie, Isiah and
Peyton; his brothers and sisters, Pastor Ken (Bev) Harger of Orleans, Larry
(Margie) Harger of Belding, Chuck (Carol) Harger of Belding, Carol (Mike) Heaton
of Belding, Nita Heintzelman of Belding, Marti Whipple of Saranac, Shirley
(Johnny) Ortiz of Texas, Delores (Pat) Cahill of Florida and Nancy (Phil) Cloud
of Portland.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Arthur
“Junior” Harger, his first wife, Vivian in 2004 and his second wife, Cheryl in
2009.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec.  14, at Shiloh Community Church,
Orleans with Pastor Ken Harger officiating.  Private interment will be in Rest
Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorial contributions may be
given to Shiloh Community Church.
