Suffering from a fractured skull and facial lacerations, Harker was moved to Butterworth hospital soon after the accident. He was born at Argyle, Wisc., June 9, 1866, the son of James and Sarah Harker, and following his married to Miss Winona Threadfield, of Argyle, on January 18, 1888, he moved to Boston township in 1894. He has occupied the same farm there since. His wife died May 1, 1915. Surviving him are a son, Claude who lived with him and two grandsons, James and Earl. Also surviving him are a sister, Mrs. Verne Church of Lansing, a brother, Fred of Lansing, and a brother, Melvin, of Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was a member of the Boston lodge 146 F. and A.M. and a former member of the South Boston grange. Funeral services will be held from the home Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Gerhing officiating and burial in the Saranac cemetery.
