Ionia Sentinel Standard, 20 Apr 1955

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon with a prayer at 2 o’clock at the 
Stone-Kauffman funeral home and services were conducted at the St. John 
Episcopal church at 2:30 by the Rev. Fr. R.J. Bunday assisted by John Clore.

Pallbearers were Clare, Butler, Russell Breckon, Elwin King, James Powers, 
Charles MacFaden and Wayne Cline.  The Masons were honorary escorts and had the 
graveside rites at Balcom cemetery conducted by Arthur Fox, F.M., Wallace 
Perrien, S.W., Jack Fox, J.W., and Bernard Gruschinski, chaplain.

Those attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Don O’Neill, Mr. and Mrs. Ed 
Crevier, Mrs. Paul Owen, Mrs. Frank Owen, Mrs. Darwin Bradford, Mrs. Gerald 
Anderson, Mrs. Don Cory, Mrs. Richard Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rice, of Belding; 
Mr. and Mrs. Belmont Burger, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morris, Harold Moore, Mr. and 
Mrs. Robert McNally, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Frank VanVleck of 
Orleans; Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Marshall, Mrs. Etta 
Faulkner, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grougel of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marshall of 
Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thorpe and Mrs. Ward LaVean of Saranac; Mr. and 
Mrs. Robert Burger of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall and Mrs. Dale List 
of Royal Oak; Tom Marshall of Pontiac and Mr. and Mrs. John Hopkins and Mrs.
