Harlan, 59, of 340 West Washington died Thursday evening at Belding Community hospital following a short illness. He was born in Belding, December 14, 1910 and had lived in Three Rivers and Benton Harbor before returning to Belding. He was retired, having been employed by the state labor relations board. A World War II veteran of the army, he was a member of Hugo Fales post of American Legion of Belding and Fruit Belt post, VFW of Benton Harbor. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Harold Arnold of Belding. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Charles M. Courser funeral home in Belding. Rev. Wilford D. Wood will officiate. Military services will be under the auspices of Hugo Fales post of American Legion. Interment will be at the old Belding cemetery. Bearers will be Legionnaires.
