Lake Odessa Wave, 10 May 1973

Albert Edward Harmal, 81, of Lansing was dead on arrival at St. Lawrence 
Hospital, Lansing, early Saturday evening.

He was born July 15, 1891 in Odessa township, son of Edward and Amelia 
(Hackett) Harmal and was a former resident of the Saranac area where he owned 
and operated a farm for many years before retiring ten years ago.  He had been 
a resident of Lansing for the past four years, residing with a niece and 
husband, Mr. and Mrs. James Rockafellow.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edward (Martha) Winter of Lake Odessa, nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at one o’clock at the Pickens Funeral 
Chapel, Lake Odessa, Rev. Randall Metz officiated with burial in the Balcom 
cemetery near Ionia.
