Ellis Ave. She had been in failing health for some time, but death was caused by a sudden heart attack. Mrs. Harmer was born in Milbrook, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, and she was married to Mr. Harmer in 1899. They came to this city from Entrican about 30 years ago and she and Mr. Harmer built and operated the store on W. Ellis and the house next to it which was their home until his death in 1938. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lypps; three sisters, Mrs. Ira Salisbury of South Haven, Mrs. J.J. Bernhard of Detroit, Mrs. Thomas Dawes of Manistee, and one brother, William Thompson of Lakeview. Funeral services were held at the Fales-Huffman Funeral Chapel Sunday at 1 o’clock with Rev. J. Ray Gillham officiating and interment was in the family lot in Otisco cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur James, Clarence Todd, Leo McPherson, Bert Sheldon, Charles Reese and William McQueen.
