Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. July 23, 2013

Regina M. (Donnely) Harp, 84, of Ionia died Saturday afternoon July 20, 2013 at 
Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Regina was born on Dec. 4, 
1928 in Ionia, the daughter of Melbert J. and Flossie (White) Donnelly.

She graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1946 and was a licensed 
beautician. 

Regina enjoyed music, dancing, crafts and attending country  music jams. She 
was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia.

She was married on June 18, 1946 to Wesley J. Harp and he preceded her in June 
of 1973. She was also preceded by her parents, a brother in infancy and son-in-
law, Robert Elvert.

Regina is loved and survived by her children; Yvonne Elvert, Mike and Marilyn 
Harp, all of Ionia, Joe and Diane Harp of Hernando, Miss., and Theresa Harp of 
North Carolina; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, 
Myrtle Davids of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic 
Church, Ionia with Father Thomas Boufford presiding. Committal prayers will 
follow in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. Visitation will be one hour before the 
service at church.

Memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ionia 
County Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the church or 
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
