The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, December 30, 1933

Funeral services for George W. Harper, 77, who died at the home of his sister, 
Miss Alice Harper, Bayard street, Wednesday afternoon, were held at Miss 
Harper’s residence Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  The final sermon was given 
by Rev. M. W. Duffey and burial was in Highland Park cemetery.  Pallbearers 
were Gay Coley, Jake Stevens, Milton Jinks, Irwin Redemsky, George Johnson, 
and Fred Piper, Jr.  There was no music at the request of the family.
