Ionia Daily Sentinel, 18 Aug 1958

Lake Odessa – Floyd C. Harper, 65, route four, Hastings, died Saturday morning 
at the home of his brother, Charles, in Woodland after a long illness.  He had 
been cared for in his brother’s home for the past four weeks.

Born May 7, 1893 in Sebewa township, he was the son of Charles and Blanche 
(McAllister) Harper.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Verna Frank of Clarksville and Mrs. Estel Wood 
of Kissimmee, Fla., and three brothers, Herbert of Union City, Charles of 
Woodland and Howard of Lake Odessa.  His wife, Florence, died in May of 1957.

The body is at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa, where funeral service 
will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. A. J. Pitman officiating.  
Burial will be at Hastings township cemetery.
