           CHARLES J HARPER
   LAKE ODESSA --- Charles J. Harper, 72 resident of St. Mary, Ohio the past year,
died at Pennock hospital in Hastings at 5:20 Sunday evening.
   Before moving to Ohio he was a lifelong resident of Lake Odessa and vicinity.  He
was born May 22, 1891 in Sebewa township, the son of Charles F. and Blanche M. McKilcher 
Harper.    While a resident of the Lake Odessa area, he attended Sebewa Baptist church.
   Surviving are his wife Effie C.;  two foster sons, Orley King of Richmond, Va,
and Roland Holdridge at San Jose, Calif.;  a foster daughter, Mrs. Earl Raffler of 
Pontiac;  one sister, Mrs Verna Frey of Clarksville;  two brothers, Herbert Harper of 
Union City and Howard of Lake Odessa;  18 grand children and three great grandchildren.
   Funeral service wil be at Pickens funeral chapel Wednesday at 1:30 p.m..  The
Rev. Isaac Osgood of North Star will be officiating minister and burial will be at 
Lakeside cemetery.
