Portland Observer, 17 Aug 1916

Adam Harr, who passed away last week at the home of his son, Michael, at Whiting, 
Ind., was a former resident of Portland, having resided here until a few years 
ago with another son, the late Frank Harr.  He was 85 years of age and had been 
in poor health for some time.

Mr. Harr is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Hartnett, of Port Richmond, Cal., 
and the following three sons:  Fred and John, Chicago, and Michael, of Whiting, 
Ind.  Burial took place in St. Joseph’s cemetery at Hammond, Ind.
