Bud loved to walk in Sheridan. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors at Pearl Lake apartments, was an avid collector of ‘30s and ‘40s big band music and liked farming with his brother on the dairy farm. Bud was born on March 30, 1931, in Bushnell Township, the son of Sam and Emma (Piper) Harriman and they both have preceded him in death. He is survived by one sister, Connie (Robert) Scheurer of Muir; two brothers, Richard (Betty) Harriman of Fenwick and Ken (Nancy) Harriman of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Bud will be on Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 9 a.m. Final interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Ionia. The family has suggested memorial donations be made to either the Sheridan VFW Post 5065 or National Kidney Foundation and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
