The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, June 18, 1917

Mrs. Mary S. Harrington, widow of John J. Harrington, formerly of Prairie 
Creek, died shortly after midnight Saturday morning at the home of her 
daughter in Chicago, where she had been living.  Funeral services will be held 
here Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the undertaking rooms of T. J. Bandfield.

Subsequent Publication:  Tuesday, June 19, 1917

The remains of Mrs. Mary Harrington arrived from Chicago Monday evening 
accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Campbell, and by Mrs. Myers.  Funeral 
services were held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Winchell & Stone undertaking 
parlor, Rev. R. B. Chapman officiating.  Members of the G.A.R. acted as 
bearers, and burial was in Highland Park cemetery.  Mrs. Harrington was a well 
known resident of Ionia living on East Washington street, before going to 
Chicago.
