Leona Harris, 89, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2003, at 
Metron of Belding.  She was born November 17, 1914 in Gowen, the daughter of 
William and Lillie Evart Sanders.  She was married on March 5, 1934 to Harold 
Harris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harris, on May 27, 1989; son, 
Duane Harris, on September 12, 1996; and brothers, Harvey and Bill Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Bill Young of Gowen; 
sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Joyce Harris, Ray and Maxine Harris, all of 
Stanton, Marie Harris of Gowen; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 
one great-great-grandchild; sister, Rose Crawford of Greenville; and two 
sisters-in-law, Maxine Harris of Gowen and Virgilene Dales of Greenville.  

Funeral and committal services at 2 p.m. Sunday at Marshall Funeral Home, 
Greenville, with Pastor Aaron Sorrels officiating.  Burial is in East Montcalm 
Cemetery.  Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday.  
Memorial contributions can be made in Leona’s name to Settlement Lutheran 
Church.
