Excerpts from Belding Obituary

ERNEST L."ERNIE" HARRIS

Died March 19, 2026-age 83 of Belding,at Greenville Corewell Health, United 
Hospital.
Born August 12, 1942 one of nine children to Ernest L. & Sarah Jane (Daniels) 
Harris, both preceded him in death.
Ernie attended Lake Odessa Schools, & worked in several capacities during his 
lifetime, including manufacturing laborer, janitorial services & self-employed 
as a painter for services years.
He enjoyed fishing & many outing with friends including his close friend, Gary 
Rowland.
Ernie was a regular patron of the American Legion in Belding, MI.
Survived by his daughters Sylvia(Sean) Alkire & Katrina(Todd) Underwood; 
Grandchildren, Caitlin Alkire, Holden Underwood, Tiffany underwood, Calvin Orr, 
ColeUnderwood & Seth Underwood. 3 great-grandchildren, a brother Roger (Imogene) 
Harris, sister Barbara Brown, and several mieces & nephews, cousins & friends, 
including special friend Ty LaMar.
Preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Norman, Larry, Bob, Ken Doris & 
Betty.
Celebration of life is planned for the near future.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family, for assistance with expenses or 
a charity of the donor's choice.
