Thursday of last week, arrived at Muir Monday evening, in charge of Mr. Harrison, his six year-old daughter, Betty, and Mrs. J.D. Strachan, who made the journey to Tucson and back with only a short rest at the western end of the journey. At Chicago they were joined by Miss Anna Harrison, a sister of Mr. Harrison. Another sister, Mrs. Bonebreak, of Washington, D.C., and William Strachan, of Grand Rapids, were also at the funeral, which was held at the former Strachan home, where the deceased was born, Tuesday afternoon, the house having been graciously opened for the reception of the funeral party upon its arrival by the present owners, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Johnston. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Presbyterian church, and the funeral services were in charge of the pastor, Rev. W.K. Spencer, assisted by Rev. Johnston in a few appropriate words and prayer. Mrs. George Strachan, of Lyons, sang two selections. Burial was made in the family lot in Oakwood cemetery. Otto W. Strachan, of Washington, D.C., misinterpreted the notice of his sister’s funeral, and was unable to be present. Mr. Harrison will return to Tucson at once to look after the store business which he has been conducting since he went west for benefit of his wife’s health three years ago. His little daughter will remain with her grandparents here for the present.
