Harroun, whose maiden name was Weaver, occurred March 2, 1899. She was born in Troy, N.Y., December 5, 1833, and at the age of eleven years moved with her parents to Otisco, Michigan, settling on what was known as the Weaver farm near Kiddville. In 1856 she was married to Guest V. Harroun. In the fall of 1870 she became a resident of Patterson’s mills, now known as the city of Belding, where she continued to reside up to about two years ago. She united with the Christian church forty years ago, being baptized by Elder Mosher, and since then has lived a good christian life. Although never prominent in social circles, but was always careful in the home, attending to all things that belonged to her as a wife and mother. Funeral service was held at the home of her son, Chas. Harroun, Saturday afternoon, Rev. B.V. Child officiating, preaching from Prov. 31-28. Her children shall rise up and call her blessed.
