The Ionia County News, Thursday, August 17, 1944


Harvey Hart, 74, passed away Thursday night in Ionia Memorial Hospital after a 
brief illness.  Mr. Hart was born November 9, 1870, in Berlin township, son of 
Franklin E. and Nancy Davenport Hart.  October 11, 1893 he was married to 
Winnie Sible of Berlin and they have always made their home in and around 
Saranac.  He is survived by his wife; two sons, F. Dumont Hart of Coatsville, 
Pa., and Vernon H., of Flint; one daughter, Mrs. William Weaver, of Lansing; 
two sisters, Mrs. N. J. Stout of Long Beach, Calif., and Katherine Hart of 
Grand Rapids, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Morris Funeral Home, with Rev. 
Frank Chamberlain officiating, and burial was made in Saranac cemetery.
