The Ionia Standard, Friday, November 30, 1888

A dispatch received from Groton Dakota, announces the death of George M. 
Harter, at his home near that place on Tuesday the 27th inst.  Mr. Harter was 
a brother of Benjamin and Harvey of this city, and an old and well known 
resident of Ionia.  He has been a sufferer for several years from rheumatism, 
which disease was probably the cause of his death.  His age was about 60 years.
