Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 4 & 7 Dec 1948

Sandra Hart, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Hart of Lyons, 
died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday at the home of her parents.  She had been ill since 
Friday morning, and her death was thought to be caused by a heart attack 
brought on by her illness. Sandra had suffered several attacks of pneumonia and 
had been suffering from asthma.

She is survived by her parents, one sister, Linda Lee, age one and one-half; 
her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hart of Lyons and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ward of 
Ionia Route 2; and two great-grandmothers, Mrs. Lenne Messer of Ionia and Mrs. 
Emma Guernsey of Lyons Route 1.

Funeral services will be held from the Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir Monday 
at 2 p.m. Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate.

Funeral services for Sandra Kay Harp, 4, who died Saturday morning at the home 
of her parents after a short illness, were held from the Shaw-Rivett funeral 
home in Muir Monday at 2 p.m.  Dr. Paul Stewart officiated.  Sandra was the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Harp of Lyons.  Pallbearers were Jerry, 
Robert, Donald and Gary White, of Ionia.

Attending from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ward of Kalamazoo, Mr. and 
Mrs. N.D. Knickerbocker of Muskegon, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Guernsey and Katherine 
of Orleans, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Greene of Portland, Mrs. Marian Harp of State 
Center, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. William Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ward and Mr. and 
Mrs. Charles Ward, all of Saranac.

Attending from Ionia were Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ralston, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lance 
and family, Mrs. Lois Burdy, Mr. and Mrs. John Guernsey, Mrs. Ernie Teal, Mr. 
and Mrs. Robert White and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Harp, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harp 
and son, Phlara Messer, Mrs. Theresa Messer, Miss Nola Lenhard, Mr. and Mrs. 
Judson Maynard, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bookie and son, Mr. and Mrs. Heufelder and 
Mrs. John Jenks.
