Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 3 & 4 May 1950

Ben Hartman, 71, died at Roush Convalescent home Wednesday, May 3, at 10:55 
a.m.  He was born November 16, 1878, in Lyons township the son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Benjamin Hartman.  On July 7, he and his wife, Annie, would have been married 
43 years.

Surviving besides the wife is a brother, David, of Grand Ledge.  Funeral 
arrangements have not been announced.

Funeral services for Benjamin R. Hartman, 71, of Lyons will be conducted from 
the Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir Saturday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Earl F. 
Buffum will officiate.  Interment will be in Lyons cemetery.  The body will be 
at his Lyons home until the time for the service.

Mr. Hartman was born in Lyons township May 16, 1878, and resided on a farm 
until about ten years ago when he moved to the village of Lyons.  He died at 11 
a.m. Wednesday at the Roush Convalescent home in Ionia.  Surviving are the 
wife, Anna L.; and a brother, David of Eaton Rapids.
