Dorothy H. Hartman, 89, of Ionia, died Monday at the Ionia Manor.  She was born,
the daughter of Frank J. and Alice J. Willitt Young, on September 18, 1902, in
Ionia County.  She was a life-time member of the First Christian Church in Ionia.

She is survived by her two sons; Steve and William of Ionia; five grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren; her sister Julia McVicker of Ionia.  She was
preceded in death by her brother John and her sister Frances.  The body has been
donated to the University of Michigan Anatomical Department, by prior arrangement.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church, in Ionia,
with the Rev. Michael Valentine officiating.  The organist will be Thelma
Walkington.  Memorials have been established for Alzheimers Research and the
Commission on Aging Meals on Wheels program.  Arrangements by the Cook Funeral
Home, Ionia.
